Tri-Valley real estate prices continue to move higher

graph red arrowPrevious to February, the holiday months made for a very frustrating market for all involved in real estate as the number of homes listed was at anemic levels. However, that has all changed. Not entirely, but there has been a significant pick up in homes coming onto the market, and in turn homes going pending….rather quickly.

The Tri-Valley area including, San Ramon and Danville, has had a strong improvement in home values due to 1) the location of the cities in proximity to the major centers of business, 2)

the increasing number of businesses that have brought operations to the 580/680 corridor and 3) the superior school scores that are recognized throughout the state. Open houses on the weekends are filled with buyers previewing homes, and most homes are receiving many offers within a few days, and of course, going over the asking price.

From the middle of January to today, the number of pending homes in the Greater Tr-Valley area has increased by 33%.
